Answer: Hobby is the favorite pastime of a person in his leisure time. It is not his regular business, such as stamp collecting, growing flowers or vegetables, reading books, or any other similar things. My favorite hobby is reading books. I read all kinds of good books, magazines, newspapers, etc. I am to read some books for my examination. I read them with much attention. But when I get leisure or spare time I start reading other books that I like. I feel happy if I get a new book every day. I read novels, fairy tales, adventure stories, detective novels, poems, essays, etc. I do not like to waste time in idle gossiping. I treat the books as my friends as they delight me even at the time of my danger and loneliness. I spend about an hour every day reading. I enjoy very much reading any kind of good book. I also acquire knowledge from my reading. It helps me broaden my outlook. So a man must have a hobby that gives pleasure, knowledge and removes the pangs of loneliness.

Answer: Hobby means one’s favorite occupation. It is a source of joy and pleasure. A hobby gives us joy and pleasure. My hobby is gardening. I have a beautiful garden. It is a flower garden. It is in front of my reading room. There are almost all kinds of flower plants in the garden. There is a fence around the garden. I have built the fence to save the garden from cattle. My garden looks beautiful when flowers bloom. My heart is filled with pride when anyone praises my garden. Every day I work in my garden. After coming from school, I enter my garden. I work therefore one hour. I lose the soil and weed out the grass. Sometimes, I curtail my flower plants. I water the garden in the evening. I plant new flower plants on holiday. My hobby removes monotony from my life. It refreshes my mind. It is also good for my health. It keeps me fit for every work. It has made my body stronger. It has improved my health. My body is immune to diseases. I can study well. I can do any work without a break. My hobby has kept me sound. So, everyone must have a hobby.

Answer: I am Tanu and my hobby is photography. On my last birthday, my aunt gave me a camera. One day I put a spool of photographic film and took a few snaps. I found -it interesting and took a few snaps of my relatives, Then I gave the spool to a professional photographer. When I got the photographs from him, I had uncommon joy. Since then I have taken many photographs. When I look at them, I find great pleasure. My hobby is quite expensive. But money itself cannot bring me the joy that my hobby brings. Moreover, I acquaint my pen friends with the beauty of Bangladesh. I have a large number of photographs of a few beautiful spots in the country and send copies of them to my pen friend. This also seems to be a delightful thing to do.
